MAHSA University’s Advanced Diploma in Midwifery is a highly-skilled programme for students who have obtained their Diploma or Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualifications, and want a future in the care of birthing mothers and postpartum care. A Nurse-midwife is a person who is trained in both nursing and midwifery and, in Malaysia is certified by the Midwifery Board Malaysia.

  Academic and Professional Qualifications: | Possess a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution with:Minimum 2 years of clinical working experience. | Minimum 3 months of experience in the Midwifery field. | Registration:Local Candidates: Registered with the Nursing Board Malaysia (NBM). | International Candidates: Registered with the Nursing Council from the country of origin. | Practicing Certificate:Local Candidates: Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC). | International Candidates: Possess a Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) from the Nursing Board Malaysia (NBM) before clinical placement. | Language Proficiency for International Students: | English Proficiency:IELTS: 5.5 | TOEFL: 515 (PBT)/215 (CBT)/80 (iBT). | Able to converse in Bahasa Melayu. | Health Requirements: | All candidates must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one month from the commencement of the nursing programme. | Students must not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity. | Students with medical conditions such as HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, epilepsy, mental health disorders, and color blindness cannot be admitted into the programme. | Additional Notes: | All qualifications must be recognized by the relevant authorities. | Meeting the academic and language requirements does not guarantee admission if health or professional registration requirements are not fulfilled. | International candidates must comply with Malaysian Nursing Board regulations for clinical placements.
